Actor Ram Charan, director Buchi Babu Sana, and Janhvi Kapoor, along with the rest of the cast of Peddi launched the film's single, Hallallallo, at a mega event in Bhopal, which was attended by nearly 1 lakh people. The song composed by AR Rahman is now in the news after Internet users flagged the dance moves featuring Ram Charan, Shruti Haasan (in a special appearance) and Janhvi Kapoor as vulgar and inappropriate in 2026.
The energetic soundtrack in Peddi is a special dance number featuring Shruti Haasan. Janhvi Kapoor, who played the female lead in Peddi, also appeared in a sequence in the song alongside Ram Charan.
The song, with vocals by Rakshita Suresh, was launched at the Bhopal event and later digitally. However, as soon as the digital version with a few visuals of the actors dancing was released, it drew criticism for its relevance in 2026 and vulgar dance steps.
A user wrote, "Telugu industry and their obsession with cheap dance movies. I heard this song of #Peddi movie yesterday, The dance moves of the song seemed very vulgar and women objectifying. Why did an actor who has been a part of an Oscar winning movie feel the need to have such an item number?"
Another user shared the clip and asked if it was choreographed by a person who sexually assaulted his colleague, hinting at choreographer Jani's involvement without mentioning his name.
