Amaran box office Day 15: Rs 300 crore loading for Sivakarthikeyan
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's Amaran is inching closer to Rs 300 crore globally. The film has been receiving positive reviews ever since it hit theatres on October 31.

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's recent outing, Amaran, successfully completed two weeks in theatres and is now marching towards the Rs 300-crore club worldwide. According to trade reports, the film is right on track and is expected to achieve the milestone soon. Though Amaran saw a decline in numbers during the weekdays, it has all the potential to pick up pace yet again during the third weekend.
Amaran faced stiff competition at the box office as Suriya's magnum-opus Kanguva released in theatres on November 14. However, Kanguva has been receiving a lukewarm response from critics and audiences alike. This could help Amaran during the third weekend in theatres as fans are still expressing their interest in watching the film.
According to the tracking website Sacnilk, director Rajkumar Periasamy's Amaran is said to have raked in nearly Rs 3.15 crore nett at the domestic box office on November 15. In 15 days, the film earned Rs 172 crore nett in India and is still going strong. Soon, the film is expected to earn Rs 300 crore globally.
On November 14, Amaran recorded an occupancy of 25.73 per cent in India. If the film sees an increase in numbers during its third weekend, then the film will be considered as a sureshot blockbuster.

The biographical war film is an adaptation of the book series, India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A chapter in one of the three books details a mission carried out by Major Mukund Varadarajan.
Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film features Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Geetha Kailasam, Umair Ibn Lateef and several others as part of the cast.
