Actor Preity Zinta has joined the growing list of Bollywood celebrities backing Hanuman Ansh. After watching the Vishal Chaturvedi directorial in theatres, the actor, in a social media post, praised the devotional drama and urged her followers not to miss it on the big screen.
The 51-year-old shared a glimpse of herself watching Hanuman Ansh in a theatre on her Instagram Stories. Keeping her reaction brief, she shared a still from the movie with “Sita Ram” and “Wow”. In another post, she encouraged her followers to experience the film in theatres, writing, “Don’t miss it, folks.”
Released on August 7, Hanuman Ansh began its theatrical run as a relatively quiet release but soon turned into a box-office force, driven largely by strong organic word-of-mouth and growing public demand. The devotional drama has defied industry expectations, earning over Rs 132 crore in India.
Preity is not the first Bollywood celebrity to show her support for the film. Varun Dhawan had earlier revealed that he watched Hanuman Ansh in theatres with his mother and strongly recommended it to his fans.
“Please go to the theatre and watch Hanuman Ansh. I just went with my mom, and it was an amazing experience. Take your parents, go with your friends. I highly recommend this film to everyone,” Varun said.
The actor also spoke about his personal connection with Lord Hanuman while praising the film’s spiritual impact. “No one had told me to make this video, nor had anyone called me; I just wanted to do this. I have had a connection with Lord Hanuman since childhood, but this is something else,” he said.
Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar has also extended his support to Hanuman Ansh, sharing his appreciation for the film on his Instagram Stories.
Directed and produced by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh marks Shobhinaw Satyaa’s Bollywood debut. He plays the lead role of Neem Karoli Baba. The film also stars Chandan Anand, Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput, Purnima Tiwari and Mannish Chaudhary in key roles.
