Actor Vidyut Jammwal has called Tiger Shroff the most fearless person he knows and urged the Baaghi star to play Bajrang Baan after unidentified men opened fire at Tiger’s car in Mumbai. In an Instagram video posted on Monday, Vidyut also questioned why fans at the scene did not chase the attackers and urged the Mumbai Police to ensure that such an incident was not repeated.

Several celebrities, including Ravi Kishan and Shatrughan Sinha, have reacted to the incident and questioned the circumstances of the attack.

Tiger did not suffer any bullet injuries, although Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said he sustained gunpowder burns on his right hand. Tiger’s driver and another man were injured. Three men have been arrested in connection with the case.

Addressing Tiger in the video, Vidyut said, “I want to say something to Tiger Shroff. You are the most fearless person. Of everyone I know, you are the most fearless.”

The Street Fighter actor then addressed Tiger’s fans, particularly those who watch him play football and cheer for him. “All those people who go to watch you play football, cheer for you and claim, ‘I am your biggest fan’ — among all those fans, surely someone should have chased after the intruder or caught them. ‘I love you, I am your biggest fan’ — what is this supposed to mean? We do things for you, so you should do something too, man,” he said.

Vidyut also urged the Mumbai Police to prevent another security lapse. “I would like to tell the Mumbai Police: you have provided him with security, but this must never happen again. If a lapse like this occurs, then you are the ones at fault,” he said.

He ended his message on a personal note by referring to the Bajrang Baan, which he said was a favourite of both actors. “Tiger, my friend, we both share a favourite, the Bajrang Baan. Just keep listening to it. Whenever I feel truly alone, I listen to the Bajrang Baan. I know you listen to it too. I love you, brother,” Vidyut said.

Ravi Kishan seeks harshest punishment

Speaking to the media at Patna airport, Ravi described the incident as deeply concerning and called for a thorough investigation. “It is very sad. It is a matter of great concern and a matter for investigation. We have full faith in the Maharashtra Police. An investigation will take place, and those found guilty will receive the harshest possible punishment,” he said.

Calling Tiger “a very innocent person”, Ravi added, “I pray to Mahadev and Mata Rani to protect him. The Maharashtra Police and the Maharashtra government are leaving no stone unturned. Very soon, all those responsible will be caught and given the severest punishment.”

Shatrughan Sinha questions the attack

Shatrughan also expressed concern about the firing and Tiger’s safety. In a post on X, he questioned the circumstances surrounding the attack and tagged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shinde.

“What’s happening? Yesterday’s shocking, worrying attacks, threats, targeting and firing on most loved star Tiger Shroff, worthy son of the most worthy father Jackie Shroff. In fact, Tiger was lucky to go unhurt, but his poor driver was badly injured,” he wrote.

What happened during the firing

The attack took place at around 7 pm on Sunday within the jurisdiction of Mumbai’s Juhu police station. According to preliminary police information, Tiger was leaving a private event when unidentified men opened fire at his BMW. He had played a football match earlier and was on his way home.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that Tiger had not sustained any bullet injuries. His driver was injured in the firing, while another man was also hurt.

Preliminary information indicated that three men had arrived on a motorcycle. Two allegedly opened fire while the third waited on the motorcycle. They then fled the scene.

Videos circulating online appeared to show one man firing several rounds and another apparently attempting to fire. Footage recorded after the attack showed Tiger moving towards the driver’s seat of his grey car and driving away.

Action after the incident

On Monday morning, a joint team of the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and Kota City Police apprehended three people in Kota’s Railway Colony area after receiving inputs from Mumbai Police. Two men were arrested and a third one, who was suspected to be a minor, was detained. However, the latter has also been identified as an adult now.

Shinde visited Tiger at his residence after the incident and said the actor had suffered gunpowder burns on his right hand. He described the firing as a serious matter and assured strict action against those responsible. He also said no gang or individual would be allowed to revive gang wars in Mumbai.
