by India Today Education Desk · India TodayIn Short
- Candidates can report between 11 am and 1:30 pm for formalities
- No entry will be permitted after gates shut sharply at 1:30 pm
- A fresh re-exam admit card is mandatory; the May 3 card fails
After weeks of preparation, the final challenge for NEET UG 2026 candidates is ensuring they follow the exam-day rules. The re-examination will be conducted today from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, with strict security arrangements in place after the cancellation of the May examination due to the paper leak.
Authorities have advised students to carefully read their admit cards, reach their centres well before time and carry only the permitted items. Even a small oversight, such as arriving late or carrying a prohibited item, could prevent a candidate from entering the examination hall.
IMPORTANT TIMINGS
Candidates should remember these important timings:
- Reporting time: 11:00 am to 1:30 pm
- Entry gates close: 1:30 pm sharp
- Examination: 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm
Candidates are encouraged to arrive early so they can complete document verification, biometric attendance and frisking without any last-minute rush. No entry will be allowed after the gates close.
