After showcasing them at MWC 2025, Nothing has launched the Nothing Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro in India. Both the Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro bring several upgrades over the predecessor, the Phone 2a. Inside the two phones there is a more powerful chipset in the form of Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, marking a change from the MediaTek Dimensity processor used in the Phone 2a. The design language, however, largely remains the same, as it follows industrial and overly tech-driven design, complete with some carefully placed LED lights.
At the launch, Nothing CEO Carl Pei noted that the key difference between the two models is the camera. Both the phones feature a triple-camera system, but only the Pro variant has a Periscope lens.
In India, the Nothing Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro prices start from Rs 24,999. While the Phone 3a is available black, white, and blue shades, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro will be available in grey and black. The prices of the Nothing Phone 3a series in India are:

Even as he announced the Phone 3a series, Pei emphasised that the company is working on the next flagship as well. This phone, to be called the Nothing Phone 3, will be released later this year.
In addition, at the launch event, Pei demonstrated the use of the new button on the phones, the Essential Key. The company is calling it “your second memory”. Pei noted that the Essential key can be used as the user’s digital journal. It can take screenshots, record voice notes, can be used as a capture button and can act as a personal assistant for reminders. He explained, the key collects all the data dumped into it and intelligently categorise it.
Nothing Phone 3a series: Key specs and features
The Nothing Phone 3a comes with a few significant upgrades. Both phones feature 6.8-inch OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate. This makes them the largest Nothing phone yet. Under the hood, the two phones are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. They run on Nothing OS 3.1, which is based on Android 15.
The Phone 3a Series follows the now-familiar design pattern of the company: a faux transparent back panel. That said, the camera arrangement is a little different this time. The phones feature Nothing’s first-ever triple-camera system, arranged horizontally with an LED flash positioned above.
Camera upgrades appear to be a key focus. The Phone 3a sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom — the first time Nothing has included a telephoto camera in its phone. In addition, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The Nothing Phone 3a Pro has the same camera system, but with one big difference. Instead of a regular telephoto camera, the Phone 3a Pro gets a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 3X optical zoom.
On the front, the Phone 3a houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera and the Phone 3a Pro features a 50-megapixel camera lens. Both the phones house a hole-punch cutout, similar to previous models. Additionally, both the models pack a 5,000mAh battery capacity.
