Parliament's Budget Session from Jan 31, President to address both Houses on Day 1
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respond to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address during the first part, while the finance minister will reply to the discussion on the budget.

The Budget Session of the Parliament will be held from January 31 to April 4 and Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table her eighth consecutive budget on February 1.
The session will begin on January 31 with President Droupadi Murmu's address to a joint sitting of both the Houses of the Parliament- the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha at 11 am. The economic survey will follow.
"The Fourth Session of the Eighteenth Lok Sabha will commence on Friday, January 31, 2025. Subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session is likely to conclude on Friday, April 4, 2025," an official notification from the Lok Sabha Secretariat said on Friday.
The following day, on February 1, Finance Minister Sitharaman will present the Union Budget at 11 am.
In the first part of the Budget Session, a total of nine sittings will be held from January 31 to February 13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respond to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address during this phase, while the finance minister will reply to the discussion on the budget.
After Parliament's recess break to examine the budget proposals, the House will reconvene on March 10 to discuss the demands for grants put forth by various ministries before the completion of the budgetary process in a cumulative 27 sittings over the course of the session.
Amid the regular business days during both parts, no sittings will be held on February 5 for Delhi Assembly elections, on February 12 for Guru Ravidas Jayanti, March 14 on the occasion of Holi and on March 31 for Id-ul-Fitr, the Lok Sabha Secretariat notification said.
