South Korean actor Gong Yoo is set to reprise his role as the salesman in the highly anticipated second season of Squid Game. In a brief yet captivating one minute 14 second teaser, the salesman's everyday routine unfolds, culminating in a familiar setting: the subway station where he first met Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae).

The story picks up three years after the events of Season 1, with Player 456, Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), choosing to forgo his trip to the United States and returning with a renewed sense of purpose. Gi-hun re-enters the high-stakes world of the mysterious survival game, where he and a fresh set of participants compete for a staggering 45.6 billion won. As new players join, the familiar tension and danger that defined the first season escalate to even greater heights.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made history at the 74th Primetime Emmys as the first Asian to win Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, returns to helm the project as director, writer, and producer.
