Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is presently helming Rajinikanth's upcoming film, 'Coolie', celebrated his 38th birthday on March 14. He rang in his special day with an intimate bash at a popular restorbar in Chennai. Shruti Haasan, choreographer Sandy and several other friends attended the party and wished Lokesh a happy birthday. Photos and videos from the bash are now doing the rounds on social media.

A video from the birthday bash shows Lokesh cutting his birthday cake. He can be seen feeding cake to choreographer Sandy and others. We can also hear a female friend singing 'Happy Birthday' loudly.

Shruti Haasan attended the birthday bash along with her friend and makeup artist Prakruthi Ananth and another friend. Though the actor did not share photos with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Prakruthi's photos suggest that the trio were at the birthday event.

Shruti Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj worked together on a music video, Inimel, which had lyrics penned by Kamal Haasan. Following Inimel, the two are working together in Rajinikanth's Coolie.

On the work front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is gearing up for the release of Coolie. The makers are planning to release the film in the second half of 2025. An official announcement will be made soon. Apart from Rajinikanth and Shruti Haasan, the film also features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John.
