Hyundai Motor India Limited has expanded its compact SUV portfolio with the launch of the Hyundai Venue Knight Edition, introducing a blacked-out aesthetic to one of its most popular models. Prices for the special edition start at Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom), with a premium of Rs 15,000 over corresponding standard variants.

Building on the success of Hyundai’s Knight range which has already crossed 92,000 units since its debut in 2022, the Venue Knight Edition brings a distinctive design treatment aimed at customers seeking a more aggressive and premium road presence.

Bold blacked-out styling inside and out

The Venue Knight Edition retains the standard SUV’s silhouette but differentiates itself through a host of cosmetic enhancements. These include a black-painted front grille, matte black Hyundai logos, black skid plates, roof rails and ORVMs, along with 16-inch black alloy wheels. Adding contrast are red brake calipers and a ‘Knight’ emblem on the tailgate.

Inside, the cabin adopts an all-black theme, replacing the dual-tone layout of the standard model. Brass-coloured accents on the steering wheel, AC vents, climate control panel and gear selector lend a premium touch, while matching brass stitching on the leatherette upholstery further elevates the interior ambience.

Feature-rich and safer than before

The feature list remains aligned with the variants the Knight Edition is based on. Higher trims continue to offer dual 12.3-inch displays, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a sunroof and wireless charging.

A key update across the range is the introduction of a dashcam in select variants including HX6T, HX10 and the N-Line N10 DCT. The system supports multiple modes such as driving recording, emergency/event recording, vacation mode, on-demand video access and photo capture, with footage accessible via a dedicated smartphone app.

Safety features include six airbags as standard, along with a 360-degree camera, ADAS suite, electronic parking brake and all-wheel disc brakes on higher variants.

New colours and variant rejig

Alongside the Knight Edition, Hyundai has introduced two new exterior shades which include Hazel Blue Matte and Mystic Sapphire Matte for the standard Venue range, further enhancing personalization options.

The Knight Edition is available across select trims, including HX5, HX6T, HX8 and HX10.

Engine and transmission options unchanged

Mechanically, the special edition remains identical to the standard Venue. Buyers can choose from three engine options:

  • 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (manual)
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (DCT)
  • 1.5-litre diesel (manual and automatic)

Price revisions for select variants

In addition to the Knight Edition introduction, Hyundai has updated prices for select Venue variants equipped with the new dashcam. The HX6T petrol MT and HX10 turbo DCT see a price hike of Rs 8,000, while the HX10 diesel AT is now costlier by Rs 13,000. The N-Line N10 DCT variant witnesses the highest increase of Rs 24,000.
