A 19-year-old woman working as a security guard at a girls' hostel in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida died on Saturday after allegedly jumping from the hostel building, with police suspecting that a domestic dispute may have led to the incident.

The woman, identified as Parul, wife of Suresh Chaudhary and a native of Meerut, was found seriously injured after the fall and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors later declared her dead.

POLICE RECEIVE ALERT ABOUT INCIDENT

According to police, information about the incident was received at the Knowledge Park police station, following which officers reached the spot and began an investigation.

Police inspected the scene and carried out the required legal procedures. The body was later sent for post-mortem examination after inquest proceedings were completed.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE ANGLE EMERGES

Police said initial findings point towards a suspected suicide.

"Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide arising out of a domestic dispute between the husband and wife," police said.

Investigators are now examining the circumstances leading up to the incident and are gathering further evidence to establish the sequence of events.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

Officials said the probe is ongoing and all aspects related to the case are being looked into.

The post-mortem report and findings from the investigation are expected to provide further clarity on the circumstances surrounding the death of the 19-year-old security guard.
