Suspended TCS employee Nida Khan, one of the key accused in the sexual harassment and alleged religious conversion cases linked to the company’s Nashik unit, was produced before the Nashik Road Civil and Criminal Court on Friday after being arrested following nearly 25 days on the run.

Police arrested Khan on Thursday from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, where she was allegedly hiding at an apartment with her maternal aunt and three other relatives.

Officials said the court proceedings are being conducted in-camera.

Khan, who worked as a telecaller at the TCS Nashik BPO unit, was first produced before a local court in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on a transfer warrant. After medical examination, she was brought to Nashik early Friday morning.

Investigators have accused Khan of hurting religious sentiments, attempting religious conversion, discouraging survivors from filing complaints, and allegedly helping the accused in rape and sexual exploitation cases linked to TCS Nashik.

2022: Joined TCS Nashik BPO

According to investigators, Khan had been working with the TCS Nashik BPO unit since 2022.

Late 2025: Shifted to Mumbai

Police said Khan later took a transfer from Nashik and moved to Mumbai. She initially stayed with her husband in Bhiwandi before later relocating to Mumbra in Thane district.

During this period, she reportedly worked at TCS BPO centres in Hiranandani, Powai and later in Malad for a brief period.

March 26: FIR registered

The case escalated after a complainant registered an FIR on March 26, naming Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar and Khan as accused.

The FIR included allegations related to attempted religious conversion, hurting religious sentiments, creating enmity between communities, and provisions under the Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The complainant also accused the group of involvement in sexual exploitation and coercion.

March 27: Co-accused arrested, she goes missing

A day after the FIR, police arrested Sheikh and Attar. However, Khan allegedly went absconding soon after the case was registered, triggering a statewide search operation.

April: Multiple raids and searches

Over the following weeks, Nashik Police teams conducted repeated searches at multiple locations linked to Khan and her relatives.

Searches were carried out at her residence, her in-laws’ residence in Bhiwandi, relatives’ homes in Bhendi Bazaar in Mumbai, her husband’s residence in Mumbra, and aunt’s house in Nashik.

Police reportedly conducted raids on April 14, 18 and on several earlier occasions as part of the search operation.

April 17: Pre-arrest bail plea filed

On April 17, Khan approached the Nashik Road court seeking pre-arrest bail in the case.

April 20 and April 27: In-camera hearings

The first hearing on her bail application took place in-camera on April 20. A second round of arguments was heard in-camera on April 27.

May 2: Bail plea rejecte

On May 2, the court rejected Khan’s bail plea, after which the Nashik Police SIT intensified efforts to track her down.

May 7: Arrest in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Naga

Acting on specific information, police traced Khan to a flat in Kaiser Colony in Naregaon locality. After being detained, she was produced before a local court and later transferred to Nashik for further investigation.

Police officials said further questioning would now focus on the allegations of attempted religious conversion, influencing complainants and her alleged role in helping others accused in the case.

May 8: Produced before Nashik court

On Friday, Khan was produced before the Nashik Road Civil and Criminal Court amid tight security. Officials said the hearing would be conducted behind closed doors.
