Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Priyadarshan, put up a decent performance on its first Monday, taking its four-day total to Rs 64.75 crore nett in India. The film has also crossed the Rs 100-crore mark at the worldwide box office.

According to trade website Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 2.50 crore from overseas markets on its first Monday, pushing its global total to Rs 106.34 crore gross.

With this, Bhooth Bangla becomes Akshay Kumar’s 34th film to enter the Rs 100 crore worldwide club. The film has maintained a steady hold at the ticket window in its initial days and is expected to cross Rs 100 crore nett domestically by the end of its second weekend.

The horror-comedy has received mixed reviews from critics, but its box office performance indicates that audience interest in the genre remains strong.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Bhooth Bangla also stars Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mithila Palkar in key roles.
