In Short

  • Bhooth Bangla is expected to open decently at box office
  • The film is expected to match Jolly LLB 3's opening figures
  • It has achieved Rs 6.8 crore gross in advance bookings for its opening day

Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, is set for a promising start at the box office despite not reaching the initial expectations. Trade estimates suggest that the film's opening will be comparable to Akshay Kumar's previous release, Jolly LLB 3.

Last year, Jolly LLB 3, a courtroom comedy, debuted with Rs 12.50 crore nett, bolstered by pre-sales of over Rs 6 crore gross. Bhooth Bangla has achieved Rs 5.25 crore and Rs 6.8 crore gross (with block seats) in advance sales, with a nett of Rs 3.50-3.75 crore from its premiere on Thursday.

As reported by the trade website Sacnilk, the film's genre is anticipated to attract audiences, predicting an opening of Rs 12-15 crore nett, including paid previews.

Bhooth Bangla Day 1 estimates

Initially, the film was expected to start with a Rs 20 crore nett, but mixed reactions to its trailer and songs tempered the pre-release excitement. Nevertheless, an opening of Rs 12-15 crore nett is considered respectable, especially since the release was postponed to avoid clashing with Dhurandhar 2, which has been leading the box office since its debut on March 19.

Advance bookings for Bhooth Bangla's opening day have been satisfactory.

With Dhurandhar 2 nearing the end of its box office run, Bhooth Bangla is expected to perform well with minimal competition. The film features a stellar cast, including Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, the late Asrani, and Wamiqa Gabbi, in significant roles.
