Amidst the escalating cross-border action between India and Pakistan, actor Aamir Khan has decided to push the trailer release of his upcoming film, 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. Prior to this, Maddock Films, a popular film production house, had cancelled the theatrical release of Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film, 'Bhool Chuk Maaf', directing it for a digital drop on Prime Video.

As per sources, Aamir Khan's production team took the decision keeping in mind the ongoing developments at the country’s borders and the subsequent nationwide alert.

A source close to the production house stated that they have solidarity with the armed forces who are protecting the nation. They added that the team, as responsible citizens, believed it was important to maintain unity and restraint at times like these.

The trailer of the film was supposed to earlier release on May 8, and sources suggest that the makers were initially contemplating launching it over the weekend. However, now, Aamir Khan and the team have decided to postpone it. While there is speculation that the film may also see a delay in release, no official confirmation has come from the producers as of now.

Also starring Genelia D'souza and a bunch of kids, the film is directed by RS Prasanna. The film is a spiritual sequel to Khan's 2007-hit film, 'Taare Zameen Par'.

'Sitaare Zameen Par' is slated to hit cinema halls on June 20.
