SAIF RECOVERING AT LILAVATI
Doctors treating Saif Ali Khan on Friday said that the actor had a narrow escape as the knife missed his spine by just 2 millimetres a day after he was stabbed by a burglar multiple times at his Mumbai residence.
Doctors said that even though Saif was in a state of shock and covered in blood, "he walked in like a tiger," hailing him as a "hero" in real life. Dr Nitin Dange, the neurosurgeon who operated on Saif, said there is no reason to worry.
"He is doing fine and he also started walking today. We have restricted visitors' access for today to avoid infection. The spinal fluid has been repaired, happy and good. The recovery has been satisfactory," Dr Dange added.
Addressing a press conference, the doctors at the Lilavati hospital further said that Saif will be discharged within the next three days.
Saif has already been shifted out of the ICU and has been moved into a special room, said Dr Dange, adding that Saif has been advised to rest. "Otherwise, there are chances of his wounds, especially in the back, getting re-infected again."
Mumbai Police have formed 35 teams to nab the intruder but no arrests have been made so far. One person was questioned on Friday but police later clarified that he was not involved in the attack on Saif Ali Khan.
