Thalapathy 69: Gautham Menon joins Vijay after Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju

The makers of Thalapathy 69 added one more name to its stunning cast. In a new social media post, KVN Productions welcomed actor-director Gautham Menon on board alongside Thalapathy Vijay, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, among others.

Actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon joined the cast of Thalpathy 69 on Thursday, October 3. KVN Productions, which is backing Thalapathy Vijay's film, made the official announcement on social media with a new poster. Earlier, the team welcomed actors Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol on board with separate announcements.

Directed by H Vinoth, the yet-to-be-titled film is the last of Vijay's career, after which he is expected to dedicatedly join politics. While sharing Gautham's poster on X, KVN Productions wrote: "Inga Yenna solludhu.. indha surprise update ungala thala keezha potu thirupirkum-nu (sic)," a Tamil dialogue celebrating Gautham's directorial, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

The makers added in another special post that they will be revealing the names of the other cast members soon today.

Thalapathy 69 is one of the most anticipated films of 2025. While the team has not given away a lot of details about the film, a poster earlier showed Vijay playing the 'torch-bearer of democracy'. The film is being ready for a release in October next year and marks the big screen celebration of the Tamil superstar in what fans are considering his 'one last dance'.

The casting rumours around the film have been going viral, with many even suggesting that the film might feature Mohanlal among other big names. The final title of the film is yet to be revealed. Thalapathy 69 is produced by Venkat K Narayana for KVN Productions with music by Anirudh. It is reportedly a political thriller and is expected to go on the floor on October 5.
