Pics: Saif Ali Khan's house lit up as actor returns home from hospital

After being discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, Saif Ali Khan received a grand welcome. Pictures of his Bandra home, illuminated and decorated, went viral.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's Bandra residence was adorned with lights to celebrate his return home on Tuesday evening. Several shared pictures showcased Saif and Kareena's 12-storey building beautifully illuminated following Saif's discharge from the hospital.

Photos of the couple's residence, Satguru Sharan, were widely shared online. Saif was discharged from Lilavati Hospital yesterday, five days after being admitted following a stabbing attack by an intruder during an attempted burglary at his home.

Sources told India Today that Saif Ali Khan and his actor-wife Kareena Kapoor will reward their domestic help Eliyamma Philip for her display of bravery during the intruder attack. She is also a key witness in the ongoing investigation and has recorded her statement with the police officials.

On January 16, Saif was stabbed nearly six times by an intruder, who entered the actor's flat in the wee hours. When they entered their youngest son, Jeh aka Jehangir's room, one of the women staff members spotted the intruder and raised an alarm.

Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, has been arrested in connection with the case. He has been remanded to police custody for five days.
