The Jammu and Kashmir Police has announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for information on the terrorists involved in the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives on Tuesday.

At least 26 people, including 25 tourists and a Nepali, were killed when terrorists opened fire in the Baisaran meadow, which is around six kilometres from Pahalgam town. The horrific incident is the deadliest attack in the Kashmir Valley since the Pulwama carnage in 2019.

Sketches of three men - two of them being Pakistanis - suspected to be involved in the terror attack were put up in the posters. The three terrorists, all of whom are Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), are - Adil Hussain Thoker, a resident of Anantnag, and two Pakistani nationals - Ali Bhai aka Talha Bhai and Hashim Musa aka Suleiman.

"Anyone sharing information/lead about the aforesaid terrorist act shall be rewarded Rs 20 lakh, Anantnag police said in a post on its official X handle.

The police said the identity of the informer shall be kept secret.

The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack.

India on Wednesday announced a raft of diplomatic measures on Pakistan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 and the immediate closure of the Attari-Wagah border, the only land border crossing between India and Pakistan, in response to the attack.

Escalating its response to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, India on Thursday revoked all visas issued to Pakistani nationals, including those for medical treatment, and suspended visa services entirely. Effective April 27, 2025, all valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals have been cancelled.

"All existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani nationals stand revoked with effect from April 27, 2025. Medical visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be valid only till April 29, 2025," an MEA statement read.

"All Pakistani nationals currently in India must leave India before the expiry of visas, as now amended," it added.

Pakistan on Thursday announced similar measures, including the closure of the Wagah border, suspending all visas under the Saarc Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) issued to Indian nationals and declaring defence, naval and air advisors in Islambad persona non grata, and asking them to leave Pakistan by April 30.

Invoking the Simla Agreement, Islamabad said it would hold all bilateral pacts with India in abeyance unless New Delhi desists from non-adherence to "international law and UN resolutions on Kashmir".

Pakistan also decided to shut its airspace for all Indian airlines.
