Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is likely to share the screen with Superstar Rajinikanth in director Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming film, 'Jailer 2'. The two had earlier worked together on director TJ Gnanavel's 'Vettaiyan', which released in theatres in 2024. Reports suggest that the two celebrated actors will play major roles in 'Jailer 2'.

The shooting of 'Jailer 2' is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Kerala's Attappadi. Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan and Mirna Menon are part of the current schedule, which is expected to go on for 20 days.

Fahadh Faasil is expected to join the shoot from the next schedule. An official announcement regarding his inclusion is still awaited.

Recently, Rajinikanth was seen greeting his fans who gathered on the film's set to catch a glimpse of him. A viral video showed Thalaivar waving to the crowd through the sunroof.

On the occasion of Pongal, Sun Pictures, the production house, shared the film's announcement video. The promo marks the return of Rajinikanth's Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer.

Without divulging more details about the film, the promo gave a glimpse of the grandeur of 'Jailer 2'.

'Jailer 2' is bankrolled by Sun Pictures on a mammoth budget. The first part grossed Rs 600 crore worldwide and is one of the biggest hits in Rajinikanth's career.
