Hyundai posts 9.1% growth in May domestic sales, 47,837 units sold
Hyundai Motor India continued its strong growth momentum in May 2026, reporting a 9.1 per cent rise in domestic sales to 47,837 units, while total sales, including exports, reached 61,137 units.

Including exports of 13,300 units, the automaker's total sales stood at 61,137 units, reflecting a 4.1 per cent year-on-year increase.
The company's performance continues the positive momentum seen at the start of FY2026-27. During the first two months of the financial year (April-May 2026), HMIL recorded domestic sales of 99,739 units, marking a 13 per cent growth over the 88,235 units sold during the same period in FY2025-26.
Commenting on the sales performance, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said that the company maintained its strong growth trajectory in May, supported by healthy demand across its product portfolio.
"Hyundai Motor India has continued its strong momentum of the year into May as well, achieving domestic sales of 47,837 units with 9.1% YoY growth and total sales of 61,137 units with 4.1% YoY growth. In the first two months (April and May) of FY27, HMIL witnessed domestic sales rise by 13% to 99,739 units, compared to 88,235 units in the same period of FY26," Garg said.
