Motorola is reportedly working on its next-gen smartphone - the Motorola Edge 60 Pro. While the phone is yet to be announced, a recent leak suggests the design and the display details. According to this leak, the Edge 60 Pro is anticipated to keep up the vegan leather tradition and its brilliant colours. The leaked images showcase the back and front panels. Before we step into the details, the Edge 60 Pro is expected to launch in a few months in India. This is mostly because the company has already launched the Edge 60 Fusion. So, we can anticipate that the elder sibling may hit the market soon.
Motorola Edge 60 Pro: Design and display
Aligning with the previous leaks, the new information highlights the Motorola Edge 60 Pro's curved display. The newly surfaced live image offers a clearer look at the curvature of the screen’s edges. The images, published in the Xpertpick exclusive report, provide a fresh glimpse of the device. While some details are difficult to discern due to image quality, the report notes that the phone features a vegan leather back.
This adds further weight to the idea that Motorola is continuing its approach of using different materials for the backs of its various models. For reference, a previous leak provided a close-up of the back material, which indeed appears to be vegan leather.
The report accompanying the image also reveals some key specifications of the device. It mentions a 5,100mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, aligning with previous leaks about the phone’s hardware. Additionally, the Edge 60 Pro seems to feature a mysterious new button on the left side. This detail is noticeable when viewing the phone from the front, as shown in the leaked image.
The Edge 60 Pro has surfaced on Geekbench AI, confirming that it will ship with Android 15 and feature 12GB of RAM, though additional configurations may be available at launch. Beyond Geekbench, the smartphone has secured multiple certifications, including those from FCC, Dekra, and TUV Rheinland. The FCC certification verifies its connectivity options, such as 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth LE, and Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, the Dekra and TUV Rheinland listings confirm that the device will pack a 5,100mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.
A launch in India appears imminent, as the Edge 60 Pro has already received BIS certification. For comparison, its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, debuted in India at Rs 31,999.
