Guess I called it: Pooja Hegde drops old video from Jana Nayagan set after Vijay win

Actor Pooja Hegde shared a playful reel from Jana Nayagan set featuring Vijay, besides a congratulatory photo with the latter after his party TVK saw a landslide win in Tamil Nadu polls.

Actor Pooja Hegde on Tuesday shared two Instagram posts featuring on-set moments from Jana Nayagan, her film with Vijay, which went viral in no time.

Apart from a playful Instagram reel, Pooja also shared a cheerful photograph where she can be seen posing with Vijay, as his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), scored a major victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Her posts also pushed Jana Nayagan back into the conversation, even as talk around Vijay’s political debut gathered pace.

What were Pooja Hegde’s posts about?

In the reel shared on Instagram, Pooja is seen pointing at a question that reads, "Who wins the elections?" She then stands next to Vijay, who hides his face, blushing. Sharing the clip, she wrote, "Guess I called it before it happened? Here’s to dreams turning into reality, Vijay sir (sic)."

Earlier in the day, she had posted a photograph with Vijay. In the picture, the two are seen in co-ordinated outfits, smiling for the camera. Along with it, she wrote, "OMGGG. Congratulationssss @actorvijay sir. This Thalapathy Kacheri is just getting bigger and bigger. Onwards and upwards only. Party Time. Let’s gooo."

TVK’s performance in Tamil Nadu

Vijay’s party emerged as the single largest party in Tamil Nadu, winning 108 of the 234 seats and defeating the DMK and the AIADMK. However, it remained short of the majority mark of 118 needed to form the government on its own. As the single largest party, TVK is likely to be invited by the Governor to form a government.

The election result also drew congratulatory reactions from celebrities, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Rashmika Mandanna and AR Rahman, among others.

Jana Nayagan awaits certification

Pooja and Vijay’s social media exchange also turned attention back to Jana Nayagan. The film is yet to receive certification and has not been cleared following legal disputes between the production house and the Central Board of Film Certification.
