The trailer for Bagheera, directed by Dr Suri and produced by Hombale Films, is finally out, giving audiences a glimpse into the intense world of this vigilante drama. Set for a worldwide release on October 31st, Bagheera promises a gritty, action-packed narrative that revolves around a masked hero who operates outside the law.

Indian action heroes are often larger-than-life, and when it comes to director Prashanth Neel’s universe, they are in a league of their own - whether it’s Prabhas in Salaar, Yash in KGF, or Sriimurali in Ugramm. With Bagheera, Neel has penned a vigilante superhero story for actor Sriimurali, fondly known as the Roaring Star by his fans.

Sriimurali takes on the titular role of Bagheera, a police officer by day and a vigilante by night. The trailer opens with a powerful conversation between a mother and her son about divine intervention. She explains that when society collapses into chaos, divinity can take the form of either gods or demons. This sets the tone for Bagheera’s dual identity, as both saviour and destroyer. Switching between his roles as a law enforcer and a masked avenger, Sriimurali’s character navigates a world where justice isn't always black and white.

Here's the trailer:

The supporting cast includes stalwarts like Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, and Garuda Ram, while Rukmini Vasanth appears as Sriimurali’s love interest, though her significance to the plot is yet to be fully revealed.

Visually, Bagheera delivers the dark, intense atmosphere expected from Neel’s universe, with AJ Shetty’s cinematography enhancing the gritty vibe. However, some CGI elements appear less polished. Despite that, the action sequences are high-energy, with a thumping score by B Ajaneesh Loknath that complements the adrenaline-fuelled scenes.

While Bagheera may tread familiar vigilante territory, the combination of Dr Suri’s direction and Neel’s storytelling expertise gives it an edge. Packed with moral dilemmas and gripping action, the film is shaping up to be a thrilling addition to the vigilante genre. With its release on October 31, fans are eager to see how Sriimurali embodies this complex dual-role performance.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is working on his upcoming film with Jr NTR, which might be titled Dragon. Pre-production work has been underway for several months, and the project is anticipated to be a high-octane commercial entertainer.
