In the trailer, Ranbir Kapoor, portraying Lord Vishnu’s incarnation, takes a solemn oath across the three realms to eradicate evil. In an epic invocation of war against the demon king Ravana, he vows to track him down, whether in the netherworld, on earth, or in the heavens.

By contrast, the film's antagonist, Ravana, proclaims himself the supreme ruler of the three realms, bolstered by a divine boon from Lord Brahma as humanity fears its impending doom.

The upcoming film, based on sage Valmiki's ancient text Ramayan is a two-part epic produced by Namit Malhotra under DNEG and Prime Focus Studios, with Yash also serving as co-producer. The ensemble also features Arun Govil as King Dashrath Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, alongside Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Shobana, Saurabh Sachdeva, Faisal Malik and Lara Dutta.
