Skoda has unveiled the facelifted Slavia with refreshed styling, an updated cabin, new comfort and technology features, and a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodaySkoda has introduced the facelifted Slavia with updates to its exterior design, interior features and powertrain options. The sedan continues with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines, while the smaller engine now gets a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Deliveries will commence around the festive season.
Exterior design
The Skoda Slavia facelift retains the existing sedan silhouette, but receives several visual changes across the front, sides and rear. At the front, the sedan gets a revised grille with vertical chrome-finished slats and a thicker chrome surround. The grille is flanked by redesigned LED headlamps with a sharper shape and revised internal lighting elements.
The front bumper has also been redesigned. It features a broad lower opening with a geometric black pattern, while the outer sections house the lower lighting elements. A slim chrome strip runs across the lower portion of the bumper, adding another visual element to the front-end design.
The side profile retains the Slavia’s long bonnet, sloping roofline and three-box sedan proportions. The facelift gets new alloy wheels with a multi-spoke design. The door handles are finished in body colour, while the window line features chrome detailing. A small Slavia badge is positioned on the front fender, behind the front wheel arch.
At the rear, the facelifted Slavia gets revised tail-lamps with a sharp, angular lighting signature. A black strip runs across the upper section of the boot lid and incorporates koda lettering in the centre. The Slavia badge is positioned on the left side of the boot. The rear bumper features a black lower section with a honeycomb-style pattern and a slim chrome strip running across it.
Interior design
The Slavia facelift gets a dual-tone coloured cabin, with light-coloured upholstery for the front seats and lower sections of the dashboard and doors. The upper portion of the dashboard is finished in black, with a textured surface and contrasting gloss-black elements around the infotainment display and air vents.
The dashboard retains a horizontally arranged layout, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system positioned centrally. The screen is integrated into a gloss-black panel, while physical controls are positioned below it. The facelift also gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster on higher variants, visible behind the two-spoke steering wheel.
The seats are also electrically adjustable and ventilated. The cabin gets a wireless charging area and a six-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. The facelift also introduces a segment-first rear-seat massage function, adding a new comfort feature to the sedan's interior.
Powertrain options
The 1.0-litre TSI engine produces 115bhp and 178Nm. It continues to be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the facelift introduces a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, replacing the earlier 6-speed automatic.
The 1.5-litre TSI produces 147bhp and 250Nm and is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre version also gets rear disc brakes.
