The first glimpse of Dragon, starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, was officially unveiled on May 19 to mark the actor’s birthday. The action-packed teaser also confirmed the film’s title after months of being referred to as NTRNeel. It quickly became a major talking point on social media, with fans sharing mixed but largely excited reactions online.

Soon after the glimpse was shared, fans praised Jr NTR’s intense transformation, screen presence and dialogue delivery. Many also called the Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel combo “insane” while applauding the film’s visuals and technical quality.

One fan wrote, "this is genuinely insane the actual filmed portions are mental. Damn, NTR playing Grey shaded character again. Dop & music is (fire emojis) (sic)."

Another commented, "MassGOD of IndianCinema #NTR. What a transformation, what a Dailouge modulation, what a Screen Presence. Mark my words #Dragon gonna make the History. It’s going to be the best work of #Neel (sic)."

However, some reactions were divided. One social media user wrote, "NTR feels so fake, someone like Prabhas should have done this #Dragon #Prabhas (sic)."

Another fan praised the teaser’s technical aspects and wrote, "#Dragon glimpse was great. Technically one of the finest things ever. Those night shots have terrific lighting and color grading. ABOUT DRAGON GLIMPSE

The teaser introduces Jr NTR as Luger, the Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company, hinting at a layered and morally grey character.

Anil Kapoor appears as Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of India’s Narcotics Bureau, setting up what looks like an intense face-off between powerful forces.

The glimpse also hints at a larger conflict involving the Afghan Trading Company and the Golden Trading Company, teasing a world filled with rivalry, violence and shifting loyalties.

Dragon marks the first collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel, who is best known for directing the KGF films.

The multilingual project is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.
