Pati Patni Aur Woh Do box office Day 5: Film stays steady but trails predecessor

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do earned Rs 3.50 crore on Day 5, taking its India nett to Rs 24.25 crore. The film has held steady despite mixed responses, but it remains behind the 2019 predecessor Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh Do has continued a steady run at the box office despite mixed responses from audiences and critics. However, the film has so far remained behind the benchmark set by its predecessor, Pati Patni Aur Woh, which starred Kartik Aaryan.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the comedy-drama opened at Rs 3.75 crore nett and grew over the weekend before slipping on Monday. On Day 5, it collected Rs 3.50 crore nett, taking its India gross to Rs 28.83 crore, India nett to Rs 24.25 crore and worldwide gross to approximately Rs 33.58 crore.

After the opening day, the film recorded growth over the weekend, earning Rs 5.75 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 7.75 crore nett on Sunday. Collections dipped on Monday, when the film reportedly earned Rs 3.25 crore.

According to tracking website Sacnilk, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do collected Rs 3.50 crore on Day 5, Tuesday across 5,541 shows. This marked a 7.7 per cent jump from Monday's figures. With this, the film's India gross collection climbed to Rs 28.83 crore, while its India nett collection stood at Rs 24.25 crore.

Overseas and worldwide figures

In the overseas market, the film reportedly earned Rs 75 lakh on Day 5, taking its overseas gross total to an estimated Rs 4.75 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at approximately Rs 33.58 crore.

Meanwhile, as compared to the predecessor, the Day 5 India nett box office collection of 2019's Pati Patni Aur Woh stood at Rs 46.99 crore, keeping the new film behind the earlier title at the same stage of its run.
