Arya Babbar responded with humour when asked about old rumours linking his father Raj Babbar with veteran actor Rekha during a recent interview. He said that if his father felt attracted to her, it was a completely human reaction, given how incredibly beautiful she is.

During an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Arya Babbar was asked about speculation that Raj Babbar had once been attracted to Rekha. The interviewer referred to rumours claiming the two had once been seen “running” together on a road and joked that nobody knew whether it was "morning running, afternoon running or evening running."

Arya avoided giving a direct answer and instead turned the conversation into a playful exchange. “Aapka sawaal jo hai woh bata raha hai ki ek jog hui thi between Rekha ji and papa. Humein proof kya karta hai? Ki dono fit the (Your question suggests that there was some kind of run or jog between Rekha ji and my father. What does that prove? That both of them were fit),” he joked.

When pressed further, Arya spoke about Rekha’s beauty and charisma, saying, “Itni khoobsurat lady, kaun attract nahi hua (Who wouldn’t be attracted to such a beautiful lady)?"

Aarya asked who wouldn't be attracted to such a beautiful lady, suggesting that these emotions are natural and not necessarily something to be vilified.

Arya added, “So if he felt attracted, it’s human. What’s wrong in that?”

The actor also dismissed the tendency to overanalyse celebrity gossip, saying people often pick up stray stories and create narratives around them. Ending the conversation on a philosophical note, Arya said, “Jeevan mast hai. Aage chalo. Stress lo nahi, stress do (Life is wonderful. Keep moving forward. Don’t take stress, give stress).”

Arya Babbar is set to make a comeback with Afra Tafri. The film also features Suniel Shetty, Govinda and Gulshan Grover.
