78th Emmy Awards full winners list: Widow's Bay, The Pitt take home big accolades

Widow's Bay and The Pitt shared the spotlight at the 2026 Emmy Awards, winning best comedy and best drama respectively. The night also brought major acting wins for Noah Wyle, Rhea Seehorn, Jean Smart and Matthew Rhys.

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards brought television's biggest names together at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, with Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay hosting the ceremony. The awards, held on September 14 in the US, were available to viewers in India on JioHotstar.

Widow's Bay emerged as the night's biggest winner, taking home 14 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The Pitt continued its strong run with another Outstanding Drama Series win, while Noah Wyle won Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Rhea Seehorn picked up her first Emmy for Pluribus, and Jean Smart made history with her fifth consecutive win for Hacks.
