Puri: Bahuda Yatra 2025 today. On July 5, 2025, today the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra will be held in Puri. In this world famous event the deities will embark on a journey from the Gundicha Temple to the Shree Jagannath Temple, the Srimandira in Puri of Odisha in their respective chariots pulled by devotees.

Bahuda Yatra is the concluding event of the 9-day sojourn of Lord Jagannath to the Gundicha Ghara. Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit Puri and take part in the return journey.

The rituals of the deities will begin from 4 am in the morning with Mangala Alati that will be followed by Mailama, Tadapalagi, Rosha Homa, Abakasha and Surya Puja. The Pahandi will begin at 12 pm while the pulling of the chariots will commence at 4 pm.

Odisha government has made extensive preparations to ensure a smooth and safe experience for devotees. CCTV surveillance, emergency health camps, and crowd control barriers will be at place in the grand road. Drone cameras and real-time crowd monitoring systems will also be used to maintain security.
