Maharashtra girl narrowly escapes death by clinging to truck bumper

Mumbai: A girl riding a scooter narrowly escaped death after a speeding truck carrying sand hit her on Belapur Road in Shrirampur, Maharashtra.
The little girl hangs onto the truck’s front bumper to prevent herself from falling underneath the wheels. CCTV footage of the scene was recorded.
Per the report, the vehicle was traveling at high speed around the curve when it struck the scooter. The collision threw the scooter into the road, leaving the girl at risk of being run over by the hefty vehicle.
The girl quickly threw herself onto the front bumper of the truck as it was still moving. Thanks to her swift intervention, the girl avoided the truck’s wheels and narrowly escaped death.

Following the crash, the girl got to her feet and attempted to push her scooter out of traffic. Instead of coming to her aid, the truck driver exited the truck and began arguing with the girl.
As locals and passers-by gathered at the scene, the driver is said to have driven away from the scene.
The CCTV footage has highlighted the potential risks of speeding HGVs, particularly when negotiating bends where drivers may not have long to react.
