Hero has launched the updated Xtreme 250R at an introductory price of Rs 1.98 lakh (all mentioned prices ex-showroom Delhi). The new Xtreme 250R is being offered in three colourways named as Carbon Red, Carbon White and Carbon Black.

Honda has claimed that more than 50 fit-and-finish improvements have been made in the updated Xtreme 250R. With these updates, the motorcycle now sports better component finishes, braided cables and a new swingarm tail cover.

The updated Xtreme 250R looks dashing with the hydro-dipped carbon-fibre-style panels and gold-anodised front forks. In addition, the coloured wheels with rim tapes, evolved graphics and embossed detailing gives it a more sculpted look.

The rear suspension also carries visible FSD branding giving the motorcycle a more technical appearance than before.

The Xtreme 250R continues to be powered by the same 250cc liquid-cooled four-valve DOHC single-cylinder engine, which churns out 29bhp and 25.3Nm. The motorcycle is claimed to offer the highest torque figure in the 250cc segment. It offers a claimed 0-60kmph acceleration time of 3.2 seconds.

The addition of Cruise control now makes it easier for riders to drive on a set speed without continuously holding the throttle. The refreshed model also debuts Hero MotoCorp’s first sensorless bi-directional quickshifter. It allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts and is designed to work without the rider closing the throttle during shifts.

There are now four riding modes, Rain, Road, Sport and Track. The updated Xtreme 250R is equipped with a upgraded full-colour TFT instrument console, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Frequency Selective Damping FSD, soft-touch switchgear, dedicated mode selector, integrated kill-start switch, hazard button and cruise-control.

The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System shows the both tyre pressure and temperature in real time. It also displays colour-coded warnings if the pressure moves outside the recommended range.

The bike also has the Frequency Selective Damping FSD which uses an additional piston to provide two rebound damping characteristics depending on the frequency of road input. Hero claims that this feature helps the motorcycle absorb broken surfaces more comfortably while maintaining control during faster cornering.

The instrument console has also been upgraded to a new full-colour TFT. Apart from regular riding information, it includes a lap timer and drag timer. Bluetooth connectivity brings call and message alerts, phone battery information and turn-by-turn navigation. New soft-touch switchgear complements the TFT and includes a dedicated mode selector, integrated kill-start switch, hazard button and cruise-control switches.

The Xtreme 250R will be sold exclusively through Hero Premia dealerships and is available in Carbon Red, Carbon White and Carbon Black at the same introductory price of Rs 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings open on 17 October 2026, with deliveries beginning from November 1.
