Skoda Slavia Facelift launched in India, Price stsrts at Rs 10 lakh

Skoda has launched the Slavia Facelift in India with a starting price of Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The cost of the entry-level variant of the car model remains unchanged, however, the top-spec variant has become costlier by Rs. 55,000. It is available across six trims and three powertrain combinations.

Now, the Skoda Slavia comes with a new eight-speed AT for the 1.0-litre TSI petrol, instead of the six-speed AT. This engine is claimed to develop 118bhp and 178Nm. It can also be bought with a six-speed MT.

The automaker also offers a 1.5-litre TSI engine option that churns out 148bhp and 250Nm. It comes paired with a seven-speed DSG.

The 1.0-litre TSI petrol is offered across variant options with the AT starting from the Classic+ trim. MEanwhile, the 1.5-litre engine is only available with the fully loaded Prestige and Monte Carlo variants.

The Slavia has been updated with redesigned headlamps and tail lamps. It also sports new alloy wheels, and available in new colour schemes.

Inside Skoda has updated the touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster but also added a 360-degree camera, integrated connected car technology and rear seat massage function.

All versions of the car get six airbags, ABS with EBD and a stability programme as standard.

The whole sedan segment has undergone a revision this year, with the Hyundai Verna getting a facelift, the Honda City getting a facelift, and the Volkswagen Virtus getting a facelift very soon.
