Honda to roll out two new electric scooters: Activa E and QC1 in Jan’25, Know features here

Honda has launched two new electric scooters in India viz Activa E and QC1. It will start bookings in January 2025 with deliveries beginning from February 2025. It is yet to reveal the prices.

Honda Activa E

Christening the electric variant of its best selling, Activa, the Activa E, is powered by two Honda Mobile Power Pack with two 1.5kWh swappable batteries over a 102km range. Honda has established its battery-swapping stations in Bengaluru and Delhi with Mumbai tailing behind. Delivering a peak torque of 22Nm the battery is powered by a 6kW permanent magnet synchronous motor.

Available in three drive modes of – Econ, Standard and Sport it has a top speed of 80kmph in the highest Sport mode. It claims to reach a speed of 60kmph in just 7.3 seconds.

It is a revamped version of its original Activa scooter and has LED headlamps flanked with two turn indicators on each side. With its seven-inch TFT display and advanced connectivity, it can be accessed through the Honda RoadSync Duo smartphone app. Having additional day and night modes it is packed with Honda’s H-Smart key system for smart find, smart safe, smart unlock and smart start.

Customers will have five colour options to choose from: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.

Honda QC1

The QC1 will roll in the Indian markets keeping in view the short-distance travel, it has resemblance with Activa E in its front and side panels minus the LED DRL in Activa E.

It is powered by a fixed 1.5kWh battery and has comes with a dedicated charger. The battery has a compact in-wheel motor, with power output of 1.2 kW (1.6bhp) and 1.8kW (2.4bhp) that reaches a top speed of 50 kmph with 80 km range.

It has a 5-inch LCD panel and a 26-litre under-seat storage.

It also comes in five colours : Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.

Both the new launches by Honda come with a 3-year warranty or 50,000km along with three free services in the first year.
