Sukhbir Singh Badal attacked in Nanded, rushed to hospital

Mumbai: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked at a gurdwara in Nanded, Maharashtra, on Thursday.
The former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab was taken to hospital after suffering this incident occurred.
The attacker was reportedly carrying a edged weapon during the attack. One of Badal’s security personnel was injured and was admitted in a hospital too.

Circumstances under which the attack took place and identity and motive of the alleged attacker is under investigation.
Security has been strengthened around the Golden Temple while the process is ongoing.
Earlier, former Punjab chief minister was attacked in the premises of Golden Temple when one person shot at him on December 2024, in front of security personnel.
