Odisha cadre IPS officer C.A. Ramdas resigns days following Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena

Bhubaneswar: Following the resignation of Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena another IPS officer has resigned from service. Odisha cadre IPS officer C.A. Ramdas, who was still undergoing his foundational training, has formally submitted his resignation.

As per reports received on Saturday, the 33-year-old Ramdas belongs to the 2025 batch of the police service and was still undergoing his foundational training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad.

Although the officer was allotted the Odisha cadre by the central government, he had not received his first field posting in the state due to the continuation of his training.

The reason behind Ramdas’ resignation was not known at the time of reporting.

Recently, senior IPS officer and Bhubaneswar DCP Meena also resigned from his position. The back-to-back departures of two cadre officers have drawn significant attention.

Choudhar Abhijeet Ramdas, the 33-year-old probationary officer from the 2025 batch is reportedly a native of Baramati region in Maharashtra.
