Redmi is working on the successor of the Turbo 5 Max, which made it’s debut in back in January. The new Redmi smartphone will be called as Redmi Turbo 6 Max. Though Redmi has not announced any details about the smartphone, leak reports have suggested the possible details of the upcoming device’s display.

According to a well-known Chinese tipster claims, the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will have will allegedly have a flat screen of about 7 inches. The tipster said that the display will be a true flagship screen. It will support up to  2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate.

In addition, the display will use LIPO packaging, which shrinks the bottom bezel so it matches the others, leaving bezels of around 1mm on all four sides. It will also have large rounded corners, BT.2020 color support, and a high-brightness, low-power substrate.

This is a significant upgrade in comparison to the Turbo 5 Max, which features a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 1280×2772 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Earlier reports had also shared that the upcoming device will feature a 7-inch size screen with 2K resolution. They had also claimed that the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will have a January launch.

The same tipster previously said the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset and pack a battery of over 10,000 mAh. The Turbo 5 Max went global as the Poco X8 Pro Max, so it’s quite possible that the Turbo 6 Max will follow in its footsteps as the Poco X9 Pro Max.
