Rayagada: 4-year-old baby girl, mother critical in train mishap, lose limbs, watch

Rayagada: In a very tragic incident a 4-year-old baby girl and her mother got critically injured in a train mishap in Rayagada district of Odisha on Friday. They faced this while boarding a moving train.

As per reports, the woman and her 4-year-old daughter were seriously injured while boarding the Korba Express at the Singapur Road station in Rayagada district.

Both of them were first shifted to the Rayagada District Headquarter hospital by the Railway Police. However, as their condition deteriorated they were then shifted to MKCG hospital in Berhampur.

In a very tragic result, the woman identified as Rathika Chandana, has lost her two hands and one leg, while her other leg has been fractured in this accident. And the 4-year-old baby girl, identified as Hastina Chandan, has lost her left hand and a leg.

Husband of the woman Chaitanya Chandna had come from Kanijhuri in Titilagarh area with family to Jinjilibadi under Penta panchayat of Rayagada district to attend the funeral rites (Dasaha work) of a relative. The family met this accident today while returning home.
