Bhubaneswar: Another IPS officer from Odisha cadre quits IPD days after Bhubaneswar DCP’s voluntary retirement caught eye in.
He resigns from servic nearly two years since joining, after the voluntary retirement of Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena came into focus in administrative circles.
Chaudhary Abhijit Ramdas, a 2025 batch IPS officer, who hails from Maharashtra was allotted the Odisha cadre after qualifying the civil services
He is training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.
Information suggest Ramdas has submitted his resignation even before the training completed.

No reason was officially cited by the officer or the authorities regarding his resignation.
Ramdas’ resignation comes barely days after Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena resigned for voluntary retirement.
While the two events are closer, no official connection between the two cases has been made and reasons remain unclear in both the instances.
The resignation of the young IPS officer who earned a berth into one of the most coveted services of the nation at 33, has become a subject of discussion .
Authorities are yet to make an official statement on the resignation.
