Singer Kanika Kapoor confirms separation from husband after four years of marriage

Mumbai: Playback singer Kanika Kapoor has confirmed her separation from businessman Gautam Hathiramani after four years of marriage. The singer shared the announcement on social media and requested privacy as they move forward separately.

As per reports, in an official statement, Kanika said that the decision came after much thought and consideration. She also expressed gratitude for the time they spent together and wished him well for the future.

In an interview, the singer clarified that no third person was involved in their separation. She also denied reports suggesting that their marriage ended because she did not want to move to Lagos, where Gautam is based for work.

Kanika said this was her second divorce and admitted that the experience brought its own grief and disappointment. She also stressed that only the two people in a marriage know what happens between them, added reports.

The couple got married in an intimate ceremony in London on May 20, 2022, attended by close friends and family members. Kanika was previously married to London-based doctor Jaspreet Singh Chandok, with whom she has three children.

Kanika is known for popular songs such as Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan and Jugni Ji.
