Qatar: A powerful explosion ripped through Qatar’s gas production site in Ras Laffan, resulting in injuries to personnel and the disappearance of personnel.
Dozens of people have been injured in a huge explosion in Qatar’s industrial city that caused a massive blaze and sent a fireball into the sky.
At least 54 people were injured in the blast, and 18 are missing, officials confirmed in this news release.
Firefighting and emergency response crews were at the scene of the explosion.

It ripped through a facility in Ras Laffan, one of the world’s largest LNG production and export hubs.
Emergency operations to extinguish flames at the plant in Ras Laffan and treat those caught up in the incident have begun.
An investigation has begun to determine the cause of the incident, while rescue efforts to locate the missing workers continue.
The explosion comes amid ongoing efforts to restore energy output after regional disputes disrupted production early this year.
