New Macro Mode available on the OnePlus 13 via a software update

The OnePlus 13 which launched in China last month is now getting updates in the form of software update, initially reported ‘Notebook Check’. The users will now get Macro Mode update on their devices. After installing the update on their devices, the users can see a petal icon in the default camera app of the device. This will allow the users to click pictures in macro through the 50MP ultra wide camera.

Speaking about camera setup, the OnePlus 13 gets Hasselblad-branded three 50MP cameras on a round camera island at the rear. The cameras are primary, ultrawide (120 degree) and periscope telephoto (3x optical). The 32MP front camera is present in the punch hole of the display.

The device gets a 6.82-inch BOE X2 8T LTPO AMOLED display with 4500 nits of peak brightness. The typical brightness of the device is 800 nits. There is a new vibration motor (602mm3 volume) with gaming controller-level feedback. We get an under-display fingerprint sensor. The flagship OnePlus device offers a massive 6,000mAh battery (as compared to the 5,400mAh capacity on the OnePlus 12) with support for 100W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

The OnePlus 13 is offered with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The smartphone is available in four configurations and the price starts from CNY 4499 (Rs 52,419). There are rumours that the global variants will be offered with two options- 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB.
