New Delhi: Delhi Police has taken action against the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders in the overnight violence at Jantar Mantar.
The CJP leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Ajinkya Shinde have been booked under the prevention arrest.
The three were arrested after they are said to have breached a barrier at the demonstration area, which was recently taken off the list of permitted demonstration areas.
Claiming slogans on raising the demand for removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the irregularities observed in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of rolls.
A case has been registered against the trio on the allegations of trespassing, breach of peace bond, using abusive language, obscene and criminal intimidation against a public servant by hindering him from discharging his official duties, reports said.
Their arrests come as the election-roll revision exercise and ban on gathering in certain places in the capital have sparked wider protests.

Ratna Singh, who is leading the CJP legal team, said the leaders were taken to Parliament Street Police Station from a “private van” at 3 am.
Furthermore, they say they were also refused access to their lawyers until well past midnight. These allegations were made by the party’s legal counsel.
The arrests were a result of a warrant, issued by Delhi police on October 11 after Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar declared Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in east Delhi as protest and demonstration sites.
Jantar Mantar was later crossed out from the list of official places for demonstration by the CJP and other groups.
The CJP has opposed these protests shifting to other places saying that protests will lose its impact if they are shifted from central Delhi.
The arrests have focused more attention on the argument over locations for public protests and the continued agitation against purported anomalies with the SIR exercise.
