Bollywood star Salman Khan’s security tightened: police escort, armed constable for protection

In November 2022 the actor again received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Maharashtra government provided him Y+ security. Following the murder of Nationalist Congress Party leader and his close friend Baba Siddique, it is said that Salman will be under the close watch of Mumbai Police. The Maharashtra government has heightened Salman Khan’s security almost two years after it was upgraded to the Y+ category.
Reportedly, Y-plus security (four armed personnel) has been provided for Salman Khan. Also a police escort vehicle will travel alongside his car. A trained constable will also accompany Salman.
In a shocking incident, politician Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, allegedly by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang due to his friendship with Salman Khan. Salman and Baba Siddique had been close friends for many years. The Bishnoi gang had reportedly warned that those helping Salman would be ready to face consequences. It is speculated that this threat may be linked to Siddique’s murder. After Baba Siddique’s demise, security around Salman’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, was also heightened with a heavy police presence outside.
In April 2024, there had been a shooting outside Salman’s apartment, for which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility.
