Pregnant woman dies after husband allegedly beat her over excess salt in food in UP

Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a five month pregnant woman died after allegedly being beaten by her husband and falling from the roof of their house in Nagda Dhak village, Kasganj district on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the incident took place after a minor argument broke out over excess salt in the food.
The husband, identified as Ramu allegedly beat the deceased during the argument. The situation turned violent, leading to the deceased falling from the roof and suffering severe injuries.
Family members immediately rushed the deceased to the district hospital, but due to her critical condition she was referred to Aligarh Medial College, where she died during treatment on Thursday.
Following the incident, the deceased’s brother claimed that Ramu was involved in an extra-marital relationship with his sister-in-law, which often caused disputes between the couple.
Ramu reportedly fled the village after the incident but was later caught by the villagers from a house outside the village the same night and was handed over to the police.
The police confirmed that a case has been registered against Ramu and further investigation is underway.
Additionally, the police have taken the deceased’s body into custody for post-mortem examination.
