Man takes wife to girlfriend’s place in Gurugram, shoots her to death and flees to Nepal

Gurugram: An unexpected incident took place in which man takes his wife to his girlfriend’s place, shoots her to death and runs away with girlfriend to Nepal. The crime was committed in Gurugram, Haryana.
The accused is identified as 25-year-old man, Ankit. The victim and the accused was only married from 3 months.
The murder was planned by the husband of the victim and his girlfriend at a rented room. The reason behind the crime is said to be because the couple wanted to be together as they already had three years of relationship.
The incident came to light when the mother of the victim, failing to contact his daughter and not receiving satisfying response from her in-laws house lodged a complaint at the police station.
As per reports, the victim woman went missing on May 21 and her mother lodged a complaint the day after she went missing.
The local Haryana Police registered an FIR against the husband and his family under relevant sections.

Following the FIR, investigation took place and the woman’s body was found from a rented room in which the crime was committed. After the body was recovered the FIR were added with charges of murder.
The accused persons, Ankit and his 38-year-old girlfriend were arrested when they came back to India from Nepal. The man runs a tobacco shop and the woman worked at a beauty parlour.
During questioning, the accused persons confessed everything. They also said from where they had purchased the weapon that was used in the crime.
The couple was presented before the court and has been remanded to five days of police custody. The questioning and investigation still remains underway, more information will be revealed after that.
