Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par beats Ghajini, creates new record

Aamir Khan’s movie Sitaare Zameen Par has finished its second weekend on a good note at the box office, garnering approximately Rs 122.65 crore in 10 days. The movie has gone up to become Aamir Khan’s sixth top-grossing movie in India, overtaking the lifetime collection of his movie Ghajini. Sitaare Zameen Par collected Rs 14.50 crore on its second Sunday and reached Rs 122.65 crore in total.

The box office split of the film reveals an overall collection of Rs 88.9 crore for its first week. During the second weekend, it raked in Rs 6.65 crore on Friday, Rs 12.6 crore on Saturday, and Rs 14.50 crore on Sunday. With this, Sitaare Zameen Par is currently targeting the mark of Rs 150 crore, which it may achieve at the end of its second week.

Industry analysts expect the movie to close at a global collection of about Rs 275-300 crore, given its trend so far. Sitaare Zameen Par’s triumph is a rare victory for the genre in the post-Covid era. With Metro.In Dino releasing this weekend, though, it would be interesting to know how high Sitaare Zameen Par climbs.

Worldwide, the movie has raked in approximately Rs 194 crore in 10 days, with India alone adding Rs 120 crore and foreign markets contributing Rs 51 crore. The international collections of the film are predicted to stand at approximately Rs 70 crore at the end of its business.
