FBI arrests Indian national in drug trafficking case in California

New Delhi: The FBI has arrested Harmanveer Singh, an Indian national for his involvement in international drug trafficking case in California on Tuesday. It was revealed by the FBI on Wednesday.

FBI had issued a wanted notice for Harmanveer Singh, an Indian national, over his alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking case on July 23.

It is a part of Operation Hard Ball which targets action against gangs run by Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Ravinder Dhanda.

According to the FBI, Harmanveer Singh is part of the to the Ravinder Dhanda Organized Crime Group.

The organization Ravinder Dhanda Organized Crime Group is based in Vancouver, Canada and is accused of smuggling cocaine and methamphetamine in huge qualities for drug trafficking in United States, Canada, and Mexico, FBI says.

Harmanveer Singh has been charged with conspiracy to distribute illegal drugs, conspiracy to export controlled substances, and possessing illegal drugs with intent to sell.

This arrest marks latest step in Operation Hard Ball.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
