Australian Tour Kicks Off the Year
Following the conclusion of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 season, India’s first assignment is an all-format tour of Australia in February and March.
The tour begins with three T20Is in Sydney (Feb 15), Canberra (Feb 19), and Adelaide (Feb 21), crucial matches in the lead-up to the T20 World Cup.
The focus then shifts to three ODIs, which count towards the 2025-29 ICC Women’s Championship. Brisbane (Feb 24), Hobart (Feb 27), and Hobart (Mar 1) are the venues. The tour concludes with a one-off Test in Perth from March 6 to 9.
England Tour and T20 World Cup
India will embark on a two-month tour of England after a short break. They play three T20Is against England in Chelmsford (May 28), Bristol (May 30), and Taunton (June 2) before the World Cup begins.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup runs through June and July in England. India is placed in Group 1 and is scheduled to face rivals Pakistan (Jun 14), South Africa (Jun 21), Australia (Jun 28), and two qualifiers. The final is set for July 5 at Lord’s.
Immediately following the tournament, India remains in England for a one-off Test match between July 10 and 13 at the iconic Lord’s venue, marking the first women’s Test held there.
Home and Away Tours Conclude 2026
The latter half of the year features the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup in September-October, with the host country yet to be announced.
India then hosts Zimbabwe for a first-ever bilateral women’s series in October, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. The year concludes with another all-format away series in South Africa across December 2026 and January 2027.
